One To One Swimming Lessons
Do you think your child would benefit from private lessons with a Swimming Teacher?
At Monkton Swim School we believe we can help. We understand that not all children work well in a group environment. Therefore, we have developed a 1-to-1 and 1-to-2 swimming programme. These lessons are built to meet your child’s requirements and can be used to build water confidence, work on stroke technique or stamina, or just to give them that extra push to move onto the next stage of the Swim School Programme.
With a number of teachers who actively teach 1-to-1 and 1-to-2, we are sure that we will find a teacher to match your requirements. We will ensure that you get the best possible results out of your private lesson.
Our 1-1 swimming lessons run in the school holidays.
Aged 3yrs to 12yrs
£25.00 per 30 Minute Lesson
If you wish to have more information on private lessons please call the Sports Club on 01225 833363.
More About Our Swim School
Monkton Swim School, based within the outstanding pool facilities at Monkton Combe School in Bath, offer swimming lessons which are delivered using Swim England's 'Learn to Swim’ programme.
At Monkton Swim School, we understand that swimming must be fun and enjoyable. That is why our entire swimming lesson programme is built around the term FUNdamentals. To ensure that we fulfil this goal, children will be encouraged to take part in a wide range of additional games and skill sessions within their normal lessons.
These sessions may include water safety, lifesaving, water polo, synchronised swimming, diving and competition skills. These skills when put together result in a competent, confident and safe swimmer who has the skill base to participate in a wider range of water-based sports.
All our instructors are Swim England or Swimming Teachers Association (STA) qualified and all hold a lifesaving qualification. We also have our own Tutor who delivers ongoing training and assessments for all instructors. All our instructors are DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked.
The Swim School teachers are fun, kind and knowledgeable, and have turned my slightly nervous girls into strong, confident swimmers.
HOW SWIMMING LESSONS RUN
Our Swim School Lessons run in line with the school terms and run over a 12-week block. Classes run between 30 minutes and 1 hour, depending on the stage of the class.
All children are assessed on the NPTS and ILSP criteria and feedback is given at the end of the 12-week course. If your child has passed the stage they will be awarded a badge and moved up into the next stage. The cost of the badge and certificate are built into the cost of the course.
TESTIMONIALS
"My son started swimming as Monkton in Ducklings; to begin with he was nervous and scared of the water and wouldn't put his face in, but with the amazing, friendly, patient and encouraging swim teachers he has grown in confidence and now loves his lessons!" - Swim School Parent, 2024
"Both of my daughters have been swimming with Monkton Swim School since Ducklings. The teachers are fun, kind and knowledgeable, and have turned my slightly nervous girls into strong, confident swimmers. Chloe is a super leader - she knows every child, ensures they are in the right stage, and also gives them that bit of extra encouragement or direction when they need it. I would highly recommend the Swim School as they have taught my girls to be safe, happy and confident in any pool." - Swim School Parent, 2024
